Program highlights will include "Embraceable You," "The Man I Love," and "Man That Got Away." Glazier and the Philharmonic Orchestra will join forces as they perform Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue."
A greatly expanded Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra is joined by the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus and two superb solists for our season finale, Gustav Mahler's Symphany No. 2, "Resurrection", performed at the end of Easter week. Mahler brings to the musical page the entire gamut of human emotion, often changing from manic exuberance to somber introspection within the span of a few measures. No other composition captures a greater range of emotions through musical sound than "Resurrection."
